Welcome to Brandon's Corvette site.
Featuring links to great Corvette web sites for viewing
pictures, reading literature, ordering/locating parts, message
boards and other neat sites. If you own a site that you
would like added to the list or perhaps a site that is listed
and you want it removed, please contact me and I will try to
take care of it.
I do want to share my own pictures of my
Corvette and my wife's Firebird as well as some other really
cool looking cars but do not want to post any copy righted
materials so if I happen to have a picture of your own personal
vehicle and you want it removed or would like credit given in
your name, just let me know.
A little about me; I live in Wichita Falls,
Texas. It took me 41 years and a lot of dreams to get my
first Corvette. And just for the record, no it was not a
mid-life crisis contrary to what my wife thinks :-). I
have always wanted a Corvette but never figured I could afford
the insurance so I never seriously looked but my age and a good
driving record helped alleviate that to my surprise. I
have owned other what I refer to as sporty type cars, Gran
Torino, Mustang GT and a few other not so sporty cars but I have
got to say that the Corvette is by far the best of them all.
My knowledge is limited on any vehicle really but I am learning
a little at a time but by no means am I highly educated on any
vehicle so technical questions is best directed to the message
board listed in the links section. Those folks (most of
them) over at the
Corvette Forum know their stuff so feel free to ask anything
no matter how dumb you think it may be, they have helped me in
the past and I will use them in the future.

A little about my Corvette. It is a 1999 C5
convertible 6 speed, color is Sebring Silver. The only two
performance modifications that I know of is a
Vortex Ram Air Intake (they say it improves the horsepower but it was on it
when I got it so I don't know this for a fact) and a Borla
exhaust system (looks stock to me but I'm not a pro). I
did not pay any more or less for either. It also had
Z06 wheels (sweet). I did order a few things myself though such as a
hood seal (mainly keeps the dust out of the engine
compartment),
taillight louvers,
license plate back-up light
frame,
laser shield license plate cover (worthless for slowing
the return signal down on a laser radar gun but it does protect
the front plate from bugs) with that mentioned I do live in
Texas so front license plates are required (the first week I had
my Vette I got a friendly reminder of that by a
state trooper)
but a Corvette without the factory plate cover looks ugly so I
ordered a contoured license plate filler (looks a lot better
with it than without, look close if you view the pictures) and a
exhaust plate cover.
That is about it "for now"!
